The Tree of Stories
The Tree of Stories is the heart of Dendronia. It symbolizes the potential of each resident to seek out and grow their own story and it feeds magic into the grove of Dendronia with every story bound to it.
Official Colors
The official colors of Dendronia are balanced between the cool colors of the aspect of the Lunar Throne and the warm colors of the aspect of the Solar Throne.
Typical representations of the Tree of Stories maintains that balance in some way, incorporating both color spectrums. Shifting towards one or the other often implies personal alignment with the concepts of the Lunar or Solar Aspects.
Symbolic Aspects
Colors can be a subtle way for Dendronians to show their values and leanings. By aligning their colors to different symbolic aspects, it can also signal a personal alignment.
Aspects in Dendronia are natural at their core. They are not simple and often contain their own internal contradictions. Aspects, like all natural forces, are a system of balance and counterweights. Only in existence with each other are they truly realized.
The Aspects are not costumes to be copied, nor rigid rules to be followed. They are echoes of fey cultures that stretched across millennia, borrowing from countless human styles and shaping their own. What you see here are not prescriptions, but invitations — moods, ranges, and essences that you can bring into your character in the way that feels true.
You don’t “match” an Aspect, you interpret it. There are no “right” answers — only what resonates with you. The Aspects are living cultures of memory, and like all cultures, they hold contradictions, ranges, and freedoms. What matters is the spirit you carry into the story.
Solar Aspect
The Solar Aspect of Dendronia symbolizes not only the blazing fire of the sun, but its cultivating warmth. It can be a symbol of strength, vitality, prowess, and resilience. It can also be a symbol of belonging, growth, joy, and prosperity.
It is an essence that creates life and demands cost.

The Lunar Aspect of Dendronia symbolizes not only the gentle subtleties of the night, but also the moon’s cold edge. It can be a symbol of wisdom, grace, curisoity, and rest. It can also be a symbol of clarity, truth, precision, restraint.
It is an essence that preserves and prunes in equal measure.
