The Grove of Dendronia
Concept
From a world far beyond Mythodea, two mighty fey have found their way through the mist and to Mitraspera, where rumors have it that they offer both shelter and a place to thrive for anyone who wishes to trade the stories of their past – or future – adventures for a place in this slowly forming collective. Whether a refugee from another world, a wanted criminal, a noble fighter, or an inquisitive scribe, anyone will find a place to call home and the opportunity for greatness in these noble ranks.
Out-Of-Time Description
Kit and Madi’s characters are two Archfey from another world who have come to Mitraspera because of its unique ability to pull in people from other realms. Their magic is fueled by stories, and what better place to collect stories than where anyone can come from anywhere?
While not the same type of fey as those originating from Mitraspera, they are quite powerful. They have used this power to carve out a haven safe from outside threats. This haven is called The Grove of Dendronia and is open to all as long as they help Fox and Crow further their collection of stories.
Fox and Crow have the power to bring people to the realm of Mitraspera and provide passage out of it. They are known to have ample coins and magical items to reward those who facilitate their quest. Characters could be part of the camp for various reasons: access to that coin and magic, protection from outside threats, the promise of adventure, or simply because they have nowhere else to go. Fox and Crow welcome all… as long as they earn their place.
DENDRONIAN GROUPS
In-Time Groups
Dendronia is a young camp that is still developing groups and customs inside it. Any member of Dendronia is free to organize a group with other members to pursue common interests.
Character Groups
Character Groups are in-character groups. Some examples would be guilds, covens, mercenary banners, etc.
Members can form whatever in-time groups they want, but to recieve resources from the camp, they must meet certain requirements.
Some examples of resources would be cheaper tent rentals, the ability to set up in-character play areas in the camp beyond their personal area, having their group listed on the website, and having a private section of the Dendronian Discord.
Subcamps
Subcamps are groups within the camp that all setup their tents and structures together and organize the layout and decor themselves, rather than it being done by camp leadership.
We recommend that, if you only have 2 or 3 tents, to simply reach out to Camp Leadership and ask to camp together. Beyond that, you would need to form a subcamp to set up tents together.
Subcamps can be IT or OT. You do not need to figure out a theme or decor to form a subcamp.
LEADERSHIP
In-Time vs Out-Of-Time
Dendronia’s leadership is divided between the In-Time (IT) roles that govern the in-game realm of Dendronia and the Out-of-Time (OT) roles that handle the real-world administration of the camp and community. This guide outlines how each leadership structure functions and interacts, both in-game and out-of-game, to ensure the smooth operation of Dendronia.
